Evocative Approaches to Therapeutic Communication, an Ericksonian Approach
Therapeutic communication can be informative and/or evocative depending on client need. When the goal is eliciting a change in state it is best to use evocative methods. Hypnosis is the mother of an experiential approach and evocative method can be derived therefrom. This two day program consists of lectures, demonstration therapy, small group practice and video examples of Milton H. Erickson.

This is course is an interactive livestream presentation via Zoom. All attendees will be able to access the footage of the training for 45 days following the date of the event. CEs will only be awarded to those attending live (in person or virtually). Certificates will be awarded to livestream attendees via email within 10 days of completing the online evaluation form.
Schedule:
Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th. The training runs from 9am to 4:45pm Pacific Time on both days.
Approved for 12 ASCH CE credits, accepted by most licensing boards in Oregon. Check with your own licensing board on CE guidelines if you have questions.
The program is pending approval by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program for 12 clinical continuing education credits. Evocative Approaches to Therapeutic Communication, an Ericksonian Approach #5666, is pending approval by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Oregon Clinical Hypnosis Society as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: xx/xx/xxxx -xx/xx/xxxx. Social workers completing this course receive 12 clinical continuing education credits.
About the Presenter: Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph.D.
Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph.D. is the Founder and Director of Milton H. Erickson Foundation.He has edited, co-edited, authored or coauthored more than 30 books on psychotherapy that appear in fifteen foreign languages.
Dr Zeig is the architect of The Evolution of Psychotherapy Conferences, www.evolutionofpsychotherapy.com, considered the most important conferences in the history of psychotherapy. He organized the Brief Therapy Conference, www.brieftherapyconference.com, the Couples Conference, www.couplesconference.com and ten International Congresses on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy www.ericksoncongress.com.
Dr. Zeig is on the Editorial Board of numerous journals; Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 29, Psychotherapy); and Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He is a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academy of Practice in Psychology of the National Academies of Practice.
Dr. Zeig has served as an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and he was a Clinical Member of the International Transactional Analysis Association (1974-1985).
A psychologist and marriage and family therapist, Dr. Zeig has a private practice, and conducts workshops internationally (40 countries). He has been an invited speaker at major universities and teaching hospitals including The Mayo Clinic, Menningers and MD Anderson. Participants must be licensed health care providers (social workers, counselors, nurses, psychologists, dentists, physicians, etc. with a masters or doctorate) with prior training in clinical hypnosis. Residents, interns, and students are eligible if enrolled in a masters or doctoral program and have prior training in clinical hypnosis. For exceptions to prior training please email info@oregonhypnosis.org.
Please note: This is an advanced training. Attendees must have completed the prerequisite of an ASCH-certified Fundamentals in Clinical Hypnosis course, or the equivalent, in order to be eligible for this training.

Event Cancellation Refund Policy:
Cancellation refund requests submitted in writing to info@oregonhypnosis.org at least 21 days before the start of the workshop will receive an 100% refund of the amount paid less a $25 administrative charge. Cancellation refund requests received 20 -15 days before the start of the workshop will receive a 50% refund of the amount paid less a $25 administrative charge. No refund will be issued for requests made with 14 days notice or less.
Course Completion Requirements: Sign in and out on time (per times indicated on agenda); complete the entire course; complete course evaluation.
Issuance of Completion Certificate:
Certificates will be issued in-person at the conclusion of the second training day.
OSCH reserves the right to provide a member or 'workshop registrant 'a full refund or credit toward a future workshop in special circumstances for compassionate relief at OSCH board of directors' leadership discretion. Requests must be made in writing prior to the events conclusion. Should the event be postponed due to the pandemic escalating we will follow up with registrants regarding refunds and rescheduling; the option of a full refund will be offered.
